Blueprint

Home Inspection

One platform does almost all of it. The work is turning it on.

What This Is

The Stack, and Why

Home inspection is the one vertical with a near-universal system of record. That makes the build unusually clean: most of what a business needs is already inside a license it pays for monthly, and the job is configuration rather than procurement.

System of record
ISN
Orders, scheduling, agreements, fee rules, report delivery, agent records. The spine of the whole business.
Intake
Website forms into ISN
A booking request becomes an order with a source attached, not an email.
Documents
ISN agreements
Pre-inspection agreement attached to the order type and blocked from progressing unsigned.
Messaging
ISN automated messaging
Six sends from booking to review. Written once, in the owner's voice.
Payments
ISN payment collection
Taken before the report is released, which is the only leverage point in the engagement.
Reviews
Review automation on report delivery
Fires on its own, routed to one platform per request.
Visibility
Google Business Profile
Categories, service areas, hours, and the answer layer built on top of them.
Admin
Google Workspace
One domain, one mailbox structure, no personal Gmail as the business address.

Install Order

Sequence Matters

  1. Claim and correct the Google Business Profile. Free, immediate, and it gates the visibility work.
  2. Audit the ISN account against the seven settings that are usually at default.
  3. Turn on the day-before reminder alone, and leave it two weeks.
  4. Attach agreements to order types, then set the fee schedule.
  5. Rebuild the site so a booking request becomes a tracked order.
  6. Set the review request to fire on report delivery.
  7. Only then consider anything new.

What It Replaces

Before This

A calendar, a personal phone, a folder of PDF agreements, and a Friday afternoon spent remembering who to ask for a review.

Home inspection is one of two verticals where this rests on delivered work rather than inference.

On CRM selection. The stack above is the outcome of a selection, not an assumption. Where the industry platform already holds the customer properly, it is the CRM and we configure it. HubSpot comes in for what the platform does not do, starting free, and becomes the system of record only where there is no industry platform at all. Every engagement interviews the platforms that could plausibly fit against written requirements, with live demos and a back-end review, before anything is chosen.

Platform licenses are billed by the vendor, not by us. We configure what you already pay for before recommending anything new, and we hold no partnership or reseller relationship with any platform named here.
